Karl8 took her first musical steps in Italy, organising raves as part of the Free-Tekkno and DnB scene. In the mid-2010s, she moved to Berlin, where she started DJing and became part of the Rooted Bass Collective. This was followed by her first gigs at flat parties, and shortly afterwards bookings in Berlin's alternative scene and at smaller festivals. Karl8's sound shifts in between old school, drum'n'bass and neurofunk – she loves driving loops and hard bass!

In 2024, Karl8 decided to move to Leipzig. Through a spontaneous session with Derrick at the Fusion festival, she found her way to Ulan Bator and, through performances at Conne Island, Gieszerstr. and the Mit Dir and Subardo festivals, even into the local and wider regional scene. - She also states clear ambitions beyond her deejayness and wants to make more queer and upcoming female producers visible and audible!
